So the storm this past weekend was a bit of a dud
- no complaints here.
I'm continuing with my great big organize-clean-toss project at home,
and since this will be going on for weeks - I think I'll probably stop talking about it.
Anyway - I'm digging into my archives for this one.
It was the little dugout under this barn that caught my eye.

I'm not really sure I'd want to go under there.
At least, I think this is a barn.
What else might it be?
What else might it be?
yeah, i hope they don't store heavy equipment or too much livestock in that barn. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the weathered wood and the stone but it really doesn't look like much of a foundation through the middle. I'd need to see a big sturdy beam! :)
ReplyDeleteNice shot though!
oh it's a cute little thing. i like the stonework and the pretty weathered wood!! i am also cleaning/organizing/purging and it feels great!!
ReplyDeleteneat barn. enjoy your cleaning. have fun! ( :
ReplyDeletewell, this is interesting....an open-air basement. What a great looking find!!
ReplyDeleteKaren, I'm attempting to spring clean as well. I call it spring cleaning no matter what time of the year it is. : ) That is an interesting barn and makes for a great photo. I don't think I would be too eager to go under that barn.
ReplyDeleteNice find! I don't think I'd be setting foot inside or underneath it, though it makes for nice, rustic scenery.

It's a cute little barn but I wouldn't want to go underneath either.
ReplyDeleteLove the barn but a little shoring up underneath wouldn't hurt.
ReplyDeletegood shot.
Looks like a barn to me! I also wouldn't be caught dead under there....or should I say that's the only way I'd be under there because it looks like its floor is going to collapse any minute!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking barn! I don't think that post looks quite big enough to hold up the barn. Maybe my imagination is working overtime, but it looks like it's sagging a bit in the middle.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I wuold go under there either - looks like lots of spiders would be there!
ReplyDeleteI don’t think you will find me rushing to go under the barn either. Knowing my luck there would be a skunk hiding there.
ReplyDeleteKaren, I nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award. Here are the details: http://theranchwifechronicles.com/liebster-blog-award/
Have a great day!
Yep - looks like a barn to me. Although I agree that I wouldn't want to go in that underneath space! I need to start an organize-clean-toss project myself....
ReplyDeleteI would want to look though- even though I wouldn't be brave enough to walk under. Neat barn
ReplyDeleteYep, looks like a good nesting places for all sorts of varmints.
ReplyDeleteyeah, it looks like a barn to me and i too would stay out of that opening! nice one!
ReplyDeleteI really love the old weathered barn wood & esp those stones, but the dugout is a bit odd, esp considering it takes one measly little board to hold up the whole barn! YiKeS! some things are a mystery =0
ReplyDeleteOh, that's kind of spooky! I can only imagine what's in there. I'd be careful walking into that barn, too!
ReplyDeleteWoah that is scary! I wouldn't want to go under there either. It does look neat though :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE barns. I would go under there, you never know what mysteries or treasures await.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cozy place for stock to get out of the weather...
ReplyDeleteIntriguing...makes you wonder about its history!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great little barn and I certainly would not go in there:) B
ReplyDeleteGorgeous old barn!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why they dug under the barn! But a nice wood hut. Nice the storm didn’t disturbed there.
ReplyDeleteThat center post has a mighty big job!
ReplyDeleteIt could have been a covered bridge perhaps, over a now dry creek? It appears a door on the left has been closed up.
looks like this barn needs more supports, or a stronger floor. A bit saggy there. Lovely shot
