"Monday, Monday - can't trust that day"...
I was singing this in my head this morning as I sat in what was essentially a parking lot on my drive to work.
Monday can truly be a rude awakening, sometimes.
Anyway -
it was a beautiful Spring weekend in Vermont -
a little hiking, a couple stops at our fav coffee shop, grilled steak on the deck...
This barn - we can't quite figure out.
I think it's new - and there has also been quite a lot of beautiful work done on this property -
- but -
no signs of farming that I can see.
No animals,
no crops,
I don't think I've ever seen any people, either.
What do you think?
i love all the windows. what a cool place. i wonder where every one was? taking a vacation maybe? ( :
ReplyDeleteI like the barn and if it was being used it would be nice but I would live there:) B
ReplyDeletei think i could live in that barn with a few more windows. :)
ReplyDeletePerhaps someone is planning on selling....looks inviting, that's for sure!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteGreat looking barn and I love the red!
ReplyDeleteInvaders from Mars? :-)
ReplyDeleteThere's one by us that they've been fixing with teh dream of running a theater school at some point. Maybe that's it?! :)
ReplyDeleteGotta be grow op!!! It is a very sharp looking building.
ReplyDeleteI think I want to move in when no one's looking! :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty enough to live in. But I have a secret and insane hankering to convert a barn or a grain elevator into a house...
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and barn! I like Andy's idea.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you continually come up with these beautiful barns...Vermont's countryside must be full of them. I love the contrast of the red and green....
ReplyDeleteLet us know if you find out what it's going to be used for....
Love this barn..wonder, as you are, why its not being used? That stone wall is awesome too.... stoppin by from Barn Charm. :)
ReplyDeleteEven if it is new it still looks very nice.Maybe they built it for decorative storage?
ReplyDeleteI'm with TexWis....I could live there!
ReplyDeleteI hve never seen a red barn here in KY but it seems you have a ton in Vermont! I wonder if that's a regional thing?
ReplyDeleteWell, it's gorgeous... I would be curious too- unless they just spent all their money on the barn and now have to save to buy the cows! :)
ReplyDeleteooohhhhh i could live there too!! what a beautiful barn and i adore the stone wall!! you did an awesome job photographing it!! (hehe, i make it sound like "work" to take a picture, but you know what i mean!!) what could be more fun then running around, camera in hand!!
ReplyDeleteIt is too pretty to be used for 'barn' things! Maybe it's someone's house inside! Really pretty! Love the stone wall too! Twyla
ReplyDeleteMaybe they'll come in later to do some farming. :) Maybe they just like farmland. :)
ReplyDeleteI think your friends are on to something. The gas line and the electric meter on the barn are a clue that it's not likely to be agricultural. Summer stock theater maybe? Also the other new buildings on the property, like the sugar shack lead me to believe it's some kind of arts and agriculture campus. There is also that other new building thaty's been worked on that looks like some kind of a huge studio. We probably need to check it out again on our way to Grandma Miller's Pies.
ReplyDeletehmm, interesting, maybe just waiting for the right family to move in. great looking barn.
ReplyDeleteIt's really a gorgeous barn! I think many of us could live in it. I love the rock wall too.
ReplyDeletegetting ready to put it on the market, perhaps??
ReplyDeleteI don't know, but what a gorgeous barn! I love the color, the cupola, the windows in the doors and that fence!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful barn, I wonder if it's new and just used for storage.
ReplyDeleteAnother beauty!
ReplyDeleteA part of me feels that my heart was meant to be in Vermont. :)
It's a beautiful barn, perhaps just for storage? : )
ReplyDeleteI love the cleanliness of it. I know, barns should have a feeling of use about them, but this one is super nice.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! It sure is kept nice. I don't know either, maybe it is just for storage.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I don't know! It sure is pretty, though! Maybe they just like the look of barns and have a lot of money to play with haha.
ReplyDeleteWow! I want it!
ReplyDeleteIf I could afford it I'd want to have one for looks. Maybe they'll use it for a business or studio.
Keep an eye on it for us. I, for one, would love to know what happens with it.
Love that first shot!
Looks too pretty to be used for livestock and also very new, so wondering if it is newly constructed or a great renovation.
ReplyDeleteA barn house? My favorite color too!
ReplyDeleteOh, your weekend sounds lovely. The barn is lovely, too! I am guessing it is a getaway for a celebrity. Or someone very wealthy. Maybe they are fixing it up for wedding venues. Or a studio. Or to store their luxury motor home. You will have to do some sleuthing! xx
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does look fresh and new, maybe they have big plans for the future.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty of a barn!
ReplyDeleteI'm runnin very late this week... but thank you for joining =)
Did I miss this beauty? Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks brand new barn! Simple fascinating
ReplyDeleteI love a good mystery; I hope you let us know if you ever figure out what this pretty barn is used for. Weddings, maybe?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous barn! Maybe the owners have some plans for it later. Keep us posted. :-)
