Completely random...
My mind has been a bit scattered all week -
waking this morning to the news of a dramatic scene unfolding in Boston.
I am finding myself with an unexpected day off, and
I pray that this all ends without further blood shed.

I spied these jugs outside a shop in Jamaica, Vermont.
When I shot them last weekend, I loved them for their bright cheerful colors -
today when I look at them, their rainbows symbolize hope.
These week from my scattered brain - completely random thoughts:
1) I am wrapping up my photography exercise next week with a 200 mm setting.
This should be interesting...
2) Last year for Mother's Day, my daughters gave me a pair of red cowgirl boots.
They're perfect for adding some pizzazz to my catholic schoolgirl style.
3) I thrive on sunshine. I don't care whether the temperature is 0 degrees or 100. If the sun is shining, I'm likely smiling.
4) I am dreaming on quiet mornings on the lake in my kayak.
5) Again - no number five, so I will wish you all a happy weekend.
Take care.
No number 5? Gyp! Lol. Just kidding.

ReplyDeleteI am ready for some sunshine and warmth. It gets old putting on my many layers of clothes and still being cold.
My Mom has an old cream can on her deck. She painted it ... cream colored.
Hope you have a happy weekend! I am the exact same way with the sunshine. I need it! It's not very sunny here today. =/

ReplyDeletethe milk cans certainly catch the eye! i do hope boston can be at peace, soon. *sigh*
ReplyDeletemy sis is like you in #3. she likens herself to a 'snake on a rock' - if there's sun, no matter what the temp - she'll sit out in it. :)
Oh your girls are so smart I wish my girls would read this. Red cowgirl boots are awesome.
ReplyDeleteNice cans, like the way you think. I love the sun in Ontario it is sunny more than not where I live and that is just the way I love it. Have a nice weekend hope the sun shines for you.hug B

ReplyDeleteI really like the bright colors of the milk cans. I too like the sunshine (it's raining at the moment).
ReplyDeleteI've had a couple of milk cans for years. They are only painted a solid color. Maybe I should rethink that. :)
ReplyDeleteThe news has not been pleasant at all this week. I wish the two young men would have just given up. We do have to make some kind of sense of it and go on. Such is life.
Put on those red boots and enjoy your day. I hope you have sunshine.
Stay safe is my #5 for you. I like the idea of red anything!
ReplyDeleteKayaking does sound nice about now, if it were a bit warmer. :)
ReplyDeleteI love those cans. So happy and hopeful. Especially today. And i am the same with sunshine. I have oodles more motivation to do things. Pretty much anything. Even housework. lol Though i'd rather be outside in the sun. :)

definitely agree about the sun, it just brightens my attitude. red cowboy boots, sounds like something I would enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI loved your sentiment about the milk jugs with their rainbows and bright colors! Lovely testament of hope! I've been "down" this week, and am having trouble getting back to a normal routine at all. My thoughts are constantly with all the tragedy of this week, and other worries. God bless the families of all we have lost this week in Boston and in West!
ReplyDeleteI thrive on sunshine as well! If there are too many gloomy days all in a row I become quite the *bleep*. :) LOVE the cowboy boots. Can I borrow them?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the sunshine! It doesn't matter how cold it is, if the sun is shining, I am happy. But I do prefer warm and sunny :) I'm glad you're staying safe at home today. Such a crazy day.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love those jugs! Right there with you on the sunshine. And above all, yes, be safe.

ReplyDeleteRandom thoughts are great. Mine are random chaotic! Interesting how some people take the old steel milk cans and decorate them.
ReplyDeleteIt really has been a sad series of events this week. I didn't realize that you were in Boston until I read your note.... I am not as angry any more. Just sad really for the senselessness of it all.
ReplyDeleteYour rainbow jugs do help convey promise of brighter days though. And being on the lake in a kayak sounds wonderfully peaceful.... I hope you have lots of sunshine this weekend!
Have a great weekend! Love those jugs ;)
ReplyDeleteHope the scary drama comes to an end soon. I liked those colorful jugs and such jugs are used here for carrying milk. But they are plain aluminum.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sunshine and keep smiling always :)
They symbolize hope to me as well my friend. Something we all need to see every once in a while for sure.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty vases .. and thoughtful sentiment. First time stopping by:) We are avid outdoor folks in in the pacific northwest. My husband recently bought a kayak and it's been lots of fun. We are looking forward to warmer temps and less rain so we can get out more. I agree, sunshine makes us feel happy!
