A snowy December afternoon,
out with my camera - scouting for barns,
and flock of wild turkeys caught my eye.
but watching the wild turkeys flying through the snowy landscape was certainly a sight to behold.
And I always thought turkeys were such awkward birds...

Thanks for dropping in!
They are awesome, especially against the snowy backdrop.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you were close enough to hear the whir of their wings! The sepia tones are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteso cool! would love to see some here!
ReplyDeleteWhere we live, they are in people's back yards! My sister hates them....the turkeys come in flocks of more than 50 and they scratch up her plants, not to mention leave a horrible mess. Between the turkeys and the "town" deer, it's difficult to have a serene back yard. She describes how she runs outside screaming at the turkeys. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely magnificent photography ~ of beautiful nature's gems!

Love these wild turkeys! We've seen them from our car behind my brother-in-law's office, but they get scared easily. Cool shots!! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots of these turkeys!
ReplyDeleteJudging from your photos you are much faster with the camera than I am.
ReplyDeleteWhat cool shots Karen against the white snow. We had a flock of geese circle in on the white snow outside of where I work, but I was "cameraless" :(
ReplyDeleteI've tried to get pictures of turkeys and they always seem so hard to capture - they dart away so fast. These photos are amazing - especially the one flying. Great work!
ReplyDeleteThis is so neat. I can't even remember the last time I've seen a wild turkey, it's been so long!
ReplyDeleteTurkeys, wild ones, are such smart birds and I've tried too to photography them a number of times... you did well! Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #64!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful............
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, I was not sure that they could fly...
