Another quiet weekend at Away -
a little snowshoeing (ugh, yes - there's still lots and lots of snow) -
and some scouting for barns and sugar shacks.
Coming up the hill, the blue-gray color of this one caught my eye.

For the next few weeks I'm taking a (self-inflicted) photography challenge.
- only one focal length allowed for an entire week.
This week's lens is the nifty-fifty -
partially because it's my only fixed-length lens so I couldn't be tempted to zoom in and out -
and partially because it was already on my camera.
I'm enjoying all your photos of flowers - as you can see, it'll be a while up here.
Sigh...
Have a great day!
What a beautiful site to come up...love the color and the snow atop the peak! Nearly all our snow is...dare I say GONE!...:)JP
ReplyDeletesnowy here - we are hoping it will stop soon. it sure looks pretty but is so very cold. just walking to the mailbox makes icicles form on my nose. ha. ha!! (kidding!!) but pretty close. ( :
ReplyDeletespring is on the way. i just know. i think??!
sure is a beautiful place - nestled in among the pines.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty- I love the washed out blue on the barn.
ReplyDeleteI always love your pictures! It will be forever until the snow disappears here too.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome barn; I love the grey/blue siding and the contrast of the green roof..That little patch of snow just adds to the shot....
ReplyDeleteI have to ask...what prompted your photography challenge....?
Hey Karen! I love that barn - I need to really work on learning my camera so I should do a challenge like you are. We may have a freeze tonight which would kill my flowers and shrivel the new leaves on the trees. sigh. It was so warm last week too. sob. Guess I can be glad it's not snow (um, what does that look like? lol ) Hope you get some warm weather soon!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Cecilia
This is a great barn. I am sure that challenge will be easy for you. B
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place!! Amazing color and pretty weathered wood!!
ReplyDeleteYes, the gray blue color of this one is very pretty.

ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful place!

ReplyDeleteAs far as the challenge goes... so far so good. Challenges are also a great learning experience.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could magically teleport into this picture :)

What a handsome barn. I like your challenge. I have a nifty fifty and rarely use it. I should get it out and challenge myself like you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat challenge! I love the color of this barn, you don't see that color around here, mostly reds, whites and faded ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous barn. It looks new and old at the same time and good enough to live in.
