1) My one-year blogiversary is sometime this week - I'm not sure which day - exact dates have never been super important to me.
Soooo - maybe I should say that I think my blogiversary is this week...
2) To coincide with my blogiversary, I seem to be in a bit of a blogging slump. I'm not sure why, but I am certain it's temporary (I'll blame it on March).
3) Spring is around the corner (well, here in New England it might be down the street aways and then around the corner - we just have to get through March...... and April...) - but - I'm starting to feel a little excited about the colors of Spring.
4) Ice cream is my most favorite food in all the world - I have no problem convincing myself that it's good for me - you know, dairy product and all.
5) I started a new daily routine last week that includes more exercise and housework. Now, how long is it supposed to take for new habits to form? 12 weeks? Hmmmmm, we'll see.

Have a great weekend!
Happy blogiversary!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary, Karen!
ReplyDeleteI hope spring is around the corner for us too, but we need moisture. It's going to take a heavy wet snow storm or lots of rain. Both sound like a lot of extra work while calving.
I am an icecream eater also. Since last August I have been making my own. My Mom and I love this recipe. Our Husbands ... not big fans. http://theranchwifechronicles.com/cake-and-ice-cream/.
Have a great weekend!
Happy Blog Birthday! Spring is springing -- we hope! I love ice cream, but I've discovered Mango Sorbet at Trader Joes ... oh, my! YUM! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeletefun five!! happy birthday to your blog, i have always thought it should be a "birth"week", not a birth"day"!!
ReplyDeletewhat is your favorite ice cream flavor? ( :
ReplyDeleteBen and Jerrys, baby ! :)
ReplyDeleteThe S'mores one...love it
Happy Blogiversary, Karen! Spring is down the street and around the corner here too. Much of Minnesota is getting snow today. I think most of it will miss us. We did have 40 degrees yesterday and some of the snow melted. But Spring is coming!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary! I'm looking for spring, too--the temperatures are still kind of erratic here in Virginia, but we've had lots of warm days. And we have daffodils! :-)
ReplyDeletehappy one year! and many more to you!
ReplyDeleteKaren, it's difficult to keep motivated during the winter blogwise... when all the flowers start blooming, that's the time I get re-energized.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the ice cream!
Thanks for joining up today and happy blogiversary. Many more to you! xo
Congrats on your blogiversary....you have reached a milestone and one to be celebrated!! And ice cream...you are a woman after my own heart. Love ice-cream anytime of the year. With a Dairy Queen right around the corner and it already is open for the year, I am in heaven.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary. I have much enjoyed your photos and commentary. I just discovered another blog I really enjoy the format... take a look at this someday when you are snowed in http://3thingsformom.com/
ReplyDeleteThanks, Helen. This blog does look interesting - I added it to my reader to check out. I'm looking forward to some more updates from the Rockies. Happy pinning :-)
DeleteCongratulations on your blogiversary and what beautiful picture to share with us in celebration...I am with you on the ice cream...I am always suggesting to my grandchildren that we go get ice cream...it gives me another excuse to enjoy a different flavor.....
ReplyDeleteIt's been so nice getting to know you and I look forward to our next year in blogland......
It is definitely the weather zapping the creative energy. We in Michigan are in the same boat, it will be awhile yet before Spring fully arrives. Great for you about the exercise, good luck with the housework :)
ReplyDeleteYup three months on new habits. Happy blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely photo of the yellow flower, I hope you are really seeing those out doors! I sure wish I was.
ReplyDeleteI love ice-cream, too, but I don't allow myself any very often. I bought some for my birthday meal this weekend! :)
I hope you do make it a new habit, it would make you happy, I'm sure.
Hugs, Cindy
No! lol. Not TWELVE weeks for a new habit to form! I thought it was two! Gack. There's no hope for me! And that's a lovely springy yellow flower you have there. Yeah, spring comes slow to New England, but all the more glorious when it arrives. :D
ReplyDeleteHigh five on the ice cream!
ReplyDeleteDon't want to burst your bubble on the time it takes to form a new habit, so I'll just shut up now. ooh wait- Yay on spring!
Happy blogaversary!
ReplyDeleteWhat is Spring?
Ice Cream is GOOOOOD!
Exercise is great.. So they tell me.;-}
Yay, happy blogiversary! How exciting. Love that photo of the pretty flower. I can't wait to start seeing all the colors of spring around here. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! I am soooo looking forward to spring to arrive. We have rain right now but there still is snow on the ground...YUM ice cream!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your Blogiversary! I am an inconsistent blogger and find myself in a slump fairly often so I can sympathize with you. You will find yourself motivated again. Love your adirondack with the glass of wine on the arm! Ice cream is good for you for sure.. :) Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary! I love the flower shot. We'll be able to get more very soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogaversary. I cannot believe housework becomes a habit I been doing it all my life and I love to skip it. Ice cream yes dairy I like that. Spring is coming I think. B
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! I think the DQ is getting ready to open here pretty soon...YUMMY! And yes, now that it stays light longer, I too seem to have more energy and stamina. I am pooped though at the end of the day!!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteHappy blog...something or other. Great that you've been around for a year. It is okay to take a breather on your blog. Far too many bloggers have a great start and a promising blog only ti flame out. Carry on.
ReplyDeleteI really don't think that flower is going to be there for another few months :-)
ReplyDeleteA girl can dream...
DeleteHappy Blogoversary. House Cleaning has become less and less import as I near retirement:)
ReplyDeleteI love your flower garden pic! And ice cream is one of the major food groups. Add some peanut butter to it and you have your protein. Reeses Peanut Butter ice cream is really a meal in a bowl. Especially if it's one of those waffle cone bowls....there's your starch. Who needs veggies? Not I!
ReplyDeleteI can see we have life's important things in common; ice cream is a separate and crucial food group as far as I'm concerned. :)

ReplyDeleteMom, I always thought March was your favorite month, no? :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous photo! Your spring will be worth the wait, such wonderful countryside.
ReplyDeleteAccording to your blog records your first posting was on Monday, March 12, 2012. I discovered your blog just a few months ago and I always look forward to your next posting. Blogging slumps are are not fun and they do come and go. Happy blogiversary! I am looking forward to your next blogiversary.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to be better at exercising at house work too! I know we will be happier if we can stick to it. Maybe the nicer weather will keep us motivated. :) Happy blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteOf course, ice cream is a food group as long as we convince ourselves about all that dairy stuff. Congrats on the blog milestone and taking a break IS allowed cause life is like that. I heard the rumor that spring is coming but delayed a bit because the groundhog was a bit off this year.Getting more exercise is a good idea...more housework not so much.
ReplyDelete12 weeks? 12 weeks? Heck. I thought it was only 2 weeks. Well, what's the use in starting a new habit, then? ;)
ReplyDeleteIce cream has always been in the dairy food group, despite the higher content of sugar than milk :)
Housework? Gah.
Hey! Me too! So happy blogiversary! So glad I found you - love all your photos.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cecilia
