ramshackle charm

After an unseasonably hot and humid summer,
we've been blessed with some really great weather!
The perfect way to end a summer -
and we've been taking advantage by getting out on our bikes!

Among our many photo stops this past weekend, was this ramshackle beauty.

I suspect it has seen better days

But it sure is in a pretty setting!

Thanks for dropping in!

  3. This is a beauty. It is so heartbreaking to see these beautiful old structures falling into disrepair. We have lots of them in our county. What is really special about this one is its setting. What a gorgeous spot. genie

  4. Great captures of this old barn. Love all those old pine trees that frame the barn.

  5. It appears to be pulling apart in some areas and drooping down.
It probably can't be saved but having that view would be wonderful to rebuilt a home on. :)

Your bike rides take you through some lovely spots.

  6. It's a lovely barn in a beautiful setting, but sad to see it crumbling in on itself.

  9. Karen,
I love how you always find neat stuff to take pictures of when you're out biking. I don't think my husband would ever let me stop to do that on our rides. :o) Anyway, I do like that barn.
