away for the weekend: nestled in the mountains

nestled in the mountains

It's been a while since I've made asked Greg to make a u-turn while out driving
- and I know, I know
- we're all tired of winter and snow...

but then, you know how hard it is for me to pass up a snowy barn
- especially one with weathered sides and a red roof
- nestled in the mountains...

- besides -
Vermont and snow and barns go together
like
America and apple pie
like
baseball and hot dogs
like
well, you get the idea...

From my snowy home to yours - have a wonderful day!

  1. You remind me of my wife. She also sits in the passenger seat and drives the car while I sit and the driver's seat and steer the car. :)

  11. We saw snow today up high and a bit of a distance from home, it was actually quite exciting so your beautiful barn and snow photo is also exciting... I made/asked Mr O. to turn around a few times today for 'that' shot, no lovely barns though.

  27. What a great picture! Barns, houses, and cemeteries were my very favorite things to photograph when we visited your lovely state. I haven't fussed about all the snow much this winter because we got snowmobiles to get into the cabin...talk about fun!! I had forgotten what a joy it is to play outside til you're Rosie cheeked in wintertime. Looking forward to your next pictures! Teresa at cottagelodge.net

  28. Doesn't everyone turn around for great barn shots...and especially one in a snow covered hill? Grenville even sometimes asks IF I want him to go back to photograph something we've just passed. It's why he's the driver and I just take photos along the way.
