It's been a while since I've made asked Greg to make a u-turn while out driving
- and I know, I know
- we're all tired of winter and snow...
but then, you know how hard it is for me to pass up a snowy barn
- especially one with weathered sides and a red roof
- nestled in the mountains...
- besides -
Vermont and snow and barns go together
like
America and apple pie
like
baseball and hot dogs
like
well, you get the idea...
From my snowy home to yours - have a wonderful day!

You remind me of my wife. She also sits in the passenger seat and drives the car while I sit and the driver's seat and steer the car. :)
ReplyDeleteThat beautiful photos seems to make ALL the snow more acceptable ---it looks beautiful:)

ReplyDeleteI'm not tired of snow! And I never get tired of your gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteWe saw snow today up high and a bit of a distance from home, it was actually quite exciting so your beautiful barn and snow photo is also exciting... I made/asked Mr O. to turn around a few times today for 'that' shot, no lovely barns though.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos! I couldn't pass up that barn either. I'm glad you snapped some photos and hope you get some warm weather soon! We're supposed to hit 50 by this weekend and I couldn't be more excited. Maybe all our ice will finally melt!

I never tire of snow shots, and add a barn to it and you have me every time.
ReplyDeleteLove the red roof and the white snow, gorgeous shot!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you turned around for this one...Great shot...love the red roof....We are in the middle of a snow storm which is unusual for us so I'll be joining you in snow photos even though I won't ave access to your beautiful barns....
ReplyDeletePerfect, Karen. Skiing should be good there this winter!
ReplyDeleteLovely compositions and indicative of your little world!
ReplyDeleteThe red roof would have made me ask my hubby to turn around.
Always love seeing a pop of red in a snowscape -- this is lovely Karen. xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful barn photography!! :-) I love the barns too!

Very pretty scene- I would have done the u-turn also! I miss seeing all the great barns when we had Barn Charm.
ReplyDeleteohhh, i more then get it!! red is the perfect color to spot on a snow filled landscape!! what a great find, deff worth a "turn around"!!
ReplyDeleteGreat color, love the red against the green trees.
ReplyDeleteThat was worth turning around for :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture! Barns, houses, and cemeteries were my very favorite things to photograph when we visited your lovely state. I haven't fussed about all the snow much this winter because we got snowmobiles to get into the cabin...talk about fun!! I had forgotten what a joy it is to play outside til you're Rosie cheeked in wintertime. Looking forward to your next pictures! Teresa at cottagelodge.net
ReplyDeleteDoesn't everyone turn around for great barn shots...and especially one in a snow covered hill? Grenville even sometimes asks IF I want him to go back to photograph something we've just passed. It's why he's the driver and I just take photos along the way.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is exactly why I absolutely adore VT :)
