you can get anywhere from here

Many of you are probably familiar with the old Maine-ism
"You can't get there from here"
Which pronounced with the proper drawl is more like
Ay-yup, you can't get they-a from hee-a

Anyway - that is apparently not the case from this little village crossroads
in rural Vermont.

I love that this sign is right outside this little schoolhouse.

These lucky students have the whole world right at their doorstep.

  1. You certainly do have lots of options when you get to this stop sign; you'd be in a mess if you didn't know where you were going.....I love the black bird sitting on top of the sign...Great pictures and I love all the rambling you do with your camera....You share so many great places with us....

  4. First of all, I love your header -- beautiful images.

And what a fun sign you found -- it would help me immensely since I'm terrible with directions. :)

  13. Fun sign find, Karen!

The first time I read it I thought you said "You can get anywhere from here." That is the motto for South Dakota State University.

After I read your pronunciation I realized I read to fast.
