With those lazy hazy crazy days of summer essentially behind us,
I'm beginning to think it's time to get back into the groove of things.
I sure have been feeling lazy and hazy -
as in - major slacking...
Fall has always felt like the real start of a new year to me.
So - anyway
We had the pleasure of spending Labor Day with family in
Central Pennsylvania.
Rural and hilly and beautiful like Vermont
yet, oh, so different.
We enjoyed meandering over the winding back roads,
among the peaceful farmland.
I'm not sure why summertime seems to throw me off my normal rhythm,
but I'm looking forward to Fall
but I'm looking forward to Fall
and getting my groove back.
How about you - does summer seem to throw you off your normal patterns?
Fall feels like a new start for me, too. Maybe because I went to school so long. :-) These photos are beautiful! The barn looks like as nice as a house. And I love that dirt road meandering through the field.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreetings, RW & SK
What beautiful scenery! Your photos are lovely. Such gorgeous farmland. I always get exhausted after summer with all the 'extra' activities and painting and gardening. I look forward to fall so I can finally relax a little. xo
ReplyDeleteI am a slacker in summer, too - if that means blogging! I'd rather be out and about. PA was were I grew up and raised my family (Lancaster County). You've captured the agrarian scenes well. I like your Header.
ReplyDeletemy goodness, that is a GORGEOUS farm! GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteHow great that lovely barns are everywhere. I definitely welcome September. Summer has too many comings and goings to be on any kind of schedule.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, do I love that red barn. Perfection. And I couldn't agree with you more, Fall is definitely a time to get back into our groove. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving some sweet words, so appreciate your time.
ReplyDeleteYes summer always throws me off. It's my least fav season (weird I know). I love these pre-autumn photos. I can't want to see autumn in Vermont through your blog :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous place- that barn is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is one big gorgeous barn!! I have been slacking off this summer too and need to get back to some kind of schedule.
ReplyDeleteKaren, good start for getting out of the groove.
ReplyDeleteI am with you; I need to get back into the groove as well....I am afraid I have been major slack this summer but oh so nice....Your shots from your trip with your family are wonderful...I love that red barn and the countryside is just gorgeous.....
ReplyDeleteWell, yes, it does throw me off track, but maybe that's what I like about summer:). Wow, that is some A- mazing barn! Just beautiful! Have a nice week! Twyla
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! The landscape is so beautiful there. Summer does throw me off schedule and I'm trying to get back on track!
ReplyDeleteThat is one beautiful barn and I love that last shot. I'm glad summer is over and yes I do get thrown off my routine.
ReplyDeletei think it's all the summer activites and events that throw my routine off. we did not attend as many outings this summer as we usually do, and i seem to have faired better.
ReplyDeletei love all the farms and barns in pa. this is a beauty!!
I take one day at a time, no, I don't feel I get off track. But understand the routine of our daily lives can change at a moments notice. Love the red barn shot.
ReplyDeleteYes, certain parts of PA are very lovely, but if I had to choose, I'd take VT:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool barn! I would love to see the inside. What pretty country.
ReplyDeleteI love fall as well. Cool crisp mornings, warm afternoons and beautiful colors. Apples, pumpkins, squash, soup and college football are good too.
I love this barn, it is gorgeous so is Pennsylvania, WOW...I'm like you even retired I loose my rhythm somehow to summer's time and sense, Fall refocuses (is this a word?) me.
ReplyDeleteLove that barn----love all barns. We don't see many around these parts at all---mostly fishing stages(which is pretty awesome too!). I love this time of the year as well. I spend a lot of time changing things in the garden, pruning, and transplanting. It gives me the same feeling I get when I've tidied and organized my pantry or some closets. Fall, for me, is all about regaining some structure in my life. :o)
ReplyDeleteSummer here in Boise is stay inside or roast your brains out time, so I LOVE fall, too. I know I say this every time you post a barn photo, but this one's my favorite!
ReplyDeleteRains have touched the ground here and no more summer heats... Love the barn and your well captured the charm
