random five - whisper words of wisdom

Finally - things are starting to bloom, here in New England.
And - I'm wrapping up my week of 200 mm -

which was a whole lot more fun than I expected it to be.
I'm not sure what I've learned, yet, but honestly -
limiting my choices was not a bad thing.

Anyway
Often while I'm reading your blogs,
I enjoy the quotes that sometime accompany your images.
Then I think to myself,
why don't I know any quotes?
Ponder

And guess what - I do.
They're like my own little mantras.
So today I will share five of my favorites - in no particular order.

"Peace begins with a smile." Mother Teresa

"Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans." John Lennon

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" Ecclesiastes 3:1
(turn, turn, turn)

"There will be an answer, let it be" The Beatles

"Ob la di, Ob la da, life goes on" The Beatles

Hmmm, yeah - think maybe I'm a baby boomer?
And with these little words of wisdom,
I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

  1. The Ecclesiastes 3:1 is one of my favorites. I find a lot of good quotes on goodreads.com. Great images this week. Are you using some skills picked up in Pic Process?

It's funny you posted the Ecclesiastes verse, that's the third time I've heard it and noticed in a very short time frame. :)

  5. Such pretty blossoms Karen -- we are just a tad behind you and should have some fruit tree blossoms any day!

I've never been much of a Beatles fan, but the lyrics from their songs often come to me at the strangest times. :) Thank for linking up today!

  10. Lovely photos! I wish I could produce such nice ones...

You might be a boomer if....

My music quote for the day...
In the clearing stands a boxer
And a fighter by his trade
    And he carries the reminders
Of ev'ry glove that layed him down
Or cut him till he cried out
In his anger and his shame
"I am leaving, I am leaving"
    But the fighter still remains
    (The Boxer, Simon & Garfunkle)

  14. Lovely photos! And I love your idea of using one lens at a time for a period of time. I may have to try that little experiment. I used to wonder the same thing, where did all my blogger friends find great quotes. I query them on the internet then keep the ones I like in a Word doc until I need them.

  16. So much combined wisdom in those quotes! I love the Beatles. "Let it Be" is one of my favorites. I admire Mother Teresa's wisdom so much. One of my favorite quotes of hers is "If we have no peace it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other."

Love the photos, especially the pink buds. Have a great weekend, from a fellow Boomer!
