The quiet beauty of an Acadia sunrise
Last summer I created my bucket list of National Parks.
Excited to get started, Greg and I headed to Acadia National Park with our new puppy
for a weekend of camping.
I am not much of a camper, and even less of a morning person,
but this Acadia sunrise is one I will remember for many years to come.
(and the cup of coffee, afterwards, at the dog friendly Coffee Hound Coffee Bar
in Bar Harbor was pretty great, too)
I am thankful for every day the sun rises,
the beauty of our National Parks,
and quiet moments like this.
I am joining Michelle for Thankful Thursday
I hope you have a wonderful day!
Absolutely beautiful, Karen!
ReplyDeleteWell worthwhile getting up early to be a part of this glory!
That is a gorgeous photo. I grew up camping, but not so interested as I am older! lol Thanks for linking up today and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletetwilight's a marvelous time. The best thing...happens twice every day.
ReplyDeleteWe visited Acadia a couple of years ago and this view is another reason to return!
ReplyDeleteKaren, I’ve never been to Acadia. Your photo was worth rising early! That’s a gorgeous sunrise!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous sunrise. I wish I had as good a scene in my memory. We visited Acadia on our way from Minnesota to the Maritimes. There was a really bad heat wave on the East Coast and millions of people fled north to escape. The loop road in the park was totally backed up and we couldn't even find a patch of grass for a picnic lunch. Maybe a fall trip in autumn sometime. No wait I've heard about the crowds of "leaf peepers" in New England...:)
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking! A gorgeous reward for spending the night camping! I'm not a camper either. In fact, just the word camping brings back horror memories of childhood when my dad thought camping was wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sunrise! So lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have been to Acadia twice and definitely could go again. But there are so many wonderful National Parks to explore. It will be great documenting them for your bucket list.
ReplyDeletelot's to be thankful for - for sure...and definitely worth getting up for!! gorgeous image!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I am definitely a sunrise person - and yours is perfect. I try to be up before the sun every day - and in the middle of summer that is hard - as the sun is up around 4:30 - but so far I've rarely missed a sunrise. happy weekend. I'm thankful that wee are expecting rain - and not more snow.
ReplyDeleteI've never been- how beautiful! So many parks to see- I hope you are achieving your goal!
ReplyDeleteQuite a delightful sight for not a morning person alike… I too get to watch sunrise rarely and only when I start to travel in early morning. Enjoy the camping weekend
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking beauty, Karen!
