Dummerston, Vermont - abandoned stone quarry
looking up the rock face of Black Mountain
on a chilly Vermont afternoon
I'm not sure whether Greg knew that this was my next prompt
when he took me on a detour, saying "you want to see something cool?"
Why, yes - yes I do
:-)
next up - Close up
- which I'll post in two weeks
I'm thinking about doing something a little different next week...

When I'm in the Adirondack Mountains, this is a common scene...lovely Karen.
ReplyDeletewho is greg kidding, we always want to see something cool!! this is a great images, it almost looks as though there is water at the base!!
ReplyDeletei like the evergreens - and the orange, nice pops of color. like enjoying 2 seasons in one!! have a fun sunday!!
Yep...always thrilled for NEW
ReplyDeleteA great angle and the rocks look rather artistic.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot and angle on the rock cuts! It could turn a wonderful waterfall during the showering/rain.
ReplyDeleteMany of the photos I shoot are from low angle due to my position on wheelchair.
Stone quarrys are wonderful -- one of the many amazing memories from our RV stay in Vermont... because they're great to look at and because they are something I wouldn't have had any idea about if we hadn't visited. (you can read about things -- at least I can -- and still really not realize what they really look like).
ReplyDeleteMagnificent down low. Also great teaser for next week, can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI love all the different textures on this rock face. What a sweet hubby to want to show you something 'cool'...best moments make best memories...
ReplyDeleteThank Greg for all of us for showing us something so cool!
ReplyDeleteI would have been tempted to try and scale those rocks and I see someone made it over to write something on the rock face?
I'm curious now for next week's challenge !
