grist mill - winter scene

The difference a couple of weeks makes in a scene...
Last month, I posted pictures of this grist mill in Weston, Vermont..

And now, to my surprise, the water is beginning to freeze.
Do you suppose that it completely freezes over in the winter?
I'll let you know - in another month or two.

Thanks for dropping in!

  2. There's a good flow of water there. If it freezes you should be able to get some excellent shots

I'm betting it freezes at least one time. Looking forward to finding out. :)

  5. If it freezes solid, is there a chance the mill will grind to a halt? I hope not~

  9. Such a stunning tranquil scene.

I am full of sadness the weekend over the tragedy in CT. How very sad, tragic and difficult to understand. We live about 1.5 hours from Newtown:( No reading for me this weekend, nor much time on the computer).

  10. You had me with the quilt photos in your header and completely hooked me with the covered bridges and beautiful photos on your blog. I'm glad you stopped by my blog so I could find you. I'm a new follower and have enjoyed the last 15 minutes I've been looking around here.
You live in a beautiful part of the world! Enjoy the holidays,
    jj
